not a quality test kit, but iwas going to take a little sample out in a glass jar or some and take a look at it. i thought i might have some contaminated fuel. and about the pressure, i was wondering where i should hook the guage up to.

For your Rrrrrr...

Fuel quality:

Always choose a gas station with the newest fuel tanks. Old fuel stations without changing their gas tanks tend to have water in their fuels and it is not good for your gastank, fuel lines and injectors.

Always use the higher octane they have; some 92, some 93, even 94. Depending on brand and state.

Duh! If your keep your emissions system, always use unleaded fuel.

Pressure:

It depends on what you have done to your engine. I would keep the stock pressure for a stock engine setup. It doesn't help to increase the pressure in a stock engine.

Ideal pressure for your engine is around 52-53 psi. with vaccum line disconnected for stock injectors.

How to know? Install a fuel pressure gauge at the fuel filter or at the fuel rail, and a regulator of your choice. i.e. B&M, AEM, etc..

Good luck!

vacuum line is connected from your fuel pressure regulator, once you have the gauge hooked up to fuel filter, you have to disconnect the vacuum an pinch it to get the reading, according to helms manual stock pressure should read anywhere from 47-54. i use b&m pressure gauge ($30).
