Just get a JDM H22, swap, and start building that. The Type S motor is not cost-effective; for the money difference between the two, you could build the JDM H22 to be a good deal more powerful than just the Type S. As for the H22/H23 frankenstein....if you're willing to spend that much money after about 10k miles, then go ahead.

There are no "Pro's", you talking about trying to upgrade a lame low HP riceboy wannabe go cart. Get a life, get a job, and go get yourself a real car. Try a M series BMW or other fine piece of German engineering you "I was blinded by dental floss" LOSER!
ummmm.....yeeeahhhhh........what's most entertaining is that you actually take time to write this like any of us care...you make me laugh..

anyways....listen bro VTEC on your H23 = downtime

Personally I don't think you can do it. Cause most engine builders can't get it right. Just buy another engine and save yoursef the trouble unles you have money to spend.

AHAHAHA, I drive both a BMW and a Honda. What do you drive??
You are not a car enthusiast. Hondas are as competent cars as BMWs. I speak form experience...are you??

Yes I do....but I had H22, built an H23 block on the side, and swapped with little downtime..

I have no tips, cause my crank is broken, something wasn't right....

y0 stunna! way to flame. he was asking an honest question and nothing about tuning a head of an engine says "Rice" to me. Try not to be a jerk and post if you have something vaguely intelligent to say.

the pro's more horse power and torque the con's the down time of the process to do it. I had mine since mid 98 or so and had no problems. go for it.
