it is heavier then the bare trunk lid. on oem spoilers we install stronger trunk springs to prevent this. nothing really you can do about it unless you can find one in the junk yard or something that has an oem spoiler, that you can rob the springs from...

i dont know about on 4th gens, but on my car, where the springs attatch to the rear deck, there is three different spots for the spring end to sit. changing them changed the effort required to shut the trunk.
you could try that.
i dont know if anyone can understand this, because i have no idea how to word it.

is there anyway to get a reinforced truck spring?

You're gonna have to bring it to a dyno to get the maximum hp gain out of your wing.

I installed my own spoiler OEM from Manchester Honda and it came with replacement springs and I bought the tool from honda to take them off HUGE help but still the new springs are still not quite strong enough, it still will fall with a slam I always hold the trunk till it's like 3 inches from the car.

I put on an OEM spoiler (94 accord) and it came with stronger supports and bigger rubber bump stops to accmodate. Works fine.

the bad thing about aftermarket one is that the spring will

i dont particularly like the OEM spoiler for the 90-93 accord, and was wondering if like a 94-97 or an integra spoiler would mount and fit on my 92 accord?

ghetto..haha. i just dun wanna put on one of those hidious wings. fer one, there too big for an accord, and two, i drive a fwd, so putting more drag in the back...well, that takes off drag from the front...which is not good. but anywayz, tahnks for the input.
