jdm headlights missing rubber vent

one of my jdm headlights is missing that rubber elbow vent... will anything happen if i plug it with some silicone?

i was planning to do that, but i havent pulled the stocks off the car yet so i wasnt sure if they had one or not- pluggin it would be the last thing i would do
