Can someone tell me what is involved in using the oil squirters from my b16a in my new b18a block? I should be starting on the block soon and I'm very curious to the methods and procedures of using the squirters in this block.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I dont know if people have tried it, but you have to drill and tap the holes in your block. Of course you should have a shop do it.
I didnt do this in my LSVTEC cause I was affraid of making "weak spots" in the block. My car holds up fine with a 8.5K redline and its been daily driven for about 9.5 months now.

Agree. I wouldn't lose any sleep over not have oil squirters in a ls/crv block. I've seen no problem with anyones ls/vtec do to not have oil squirters, and my b20vtec is fine without them.
Oil Squirter Jet and Oil Spuirter Bolt.
Get you local machine shop to do it for you.
I had my done around $100+ Canadian. plus parts.
*People said you don't need them, but i think cooler is better (with Oil Cooler)*

Oil squirters will also unbalance you motor... When you rev the motor up in the higher rpm band the oil is jetted against the bottom side of the piston creating an unbalanced stroke... It's really not that big of deal but you'll notice a lot of turbo motors get their jets plugged for this very reason... Get some forged slugs in your LSVTEC and you'll be fine... Actually you're fine with OE pistons too... Latez
