This is embarassing so I'll make it short 
B16A1 ...which way to advance the timing, which way to retard?
For some reason when I push it toward the back of the car, the car runs fine.
When I pull it towards me, it detonates.
Running 8lbs of boost.
Is pushing toward the back retarding? The euro manual says that's advancing, but the car runs fine when 4 degrees in that position =\
If I pull it toward me in any fasion, it detonates...even at stock.
