Default Finished the 94 civic with 98 front end *lots of pics*

Here's what we started with, 94 Honda Civic EX

Here is the full conversion pics
https://honda-tech.com/zeromodify?cm...ost&id=3488322
and here's the final product
The white thing is just tape, don't bother about that.
and we washed it due to popular demand

and the body line on the fenders that people were wondering about, you can see how we molded it so it rolls into the body roll on the 5th gen

and yes, I know, the paint on the fenders doesn't match the car. The car is going to be completely repainted and we weren't going to paint the fenders at all, but we decided that it would be nice to just spray some black paint on there so he's not running around with bondo fenders, lol.

The fender crease doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

Very impressive body work. But why? Why not just get a 6th gen? Oh well... either way, it's done right.

That front end...especially the headlights are way too big for the rear. You did a good job lining everything up though.

thanx for the compliments guys. I think more people will like it a little more once the car gets some more mods. It looks a little funny since everything is stock.

haha...body line flows into the car???? i dont think so..to me it stands out...im an autobody guy so I can tell.

I hope you had fun doing the conversion though....but I've seen people do it differently. They use the 92-95 fender and cut the fender to line up with the headlights. then they ad a rubber molding on the cut to make it look clean. I think this way is better because you dont have the body line as you do with the 96-00 fenders.

On the body work...but on the actual conversion. I know the reasoning behind this front end instead of the 99-00, but I would have spent the extra cash for the 99-00 if I did a conversion at all. I still think the 92-95 looks better than that 96-98 does...and it doesn't really match with the rest of the car to be honest. But I will say it again, on the body work. You really did a good job putting everything together!

I don't like it at all.

The crease in the front fenders don't even match up at all with the smooth doors and rear 1/4 panels of the 1992-1995 Civic.

Moving to Appearance anyways.

But how much it cost you?

But how much it cost you?
If you would learn to read you would know that it didn't cost me anything because it's not my car. Actually it did, about $30 in materials. But the owner spent about $1500 on the whole conversion including parts. The reason why he did this is because he wrecked the front end of his car and got a buttload of insurance money, so it didn't really come out of his own pocket.

Personally, I think the lights are out of place. The owner is planning on gettnig black angel eye projectors, I think that will make things look a lot nicer since the 98 headlights are kinda goofy looking.

And the person who was talking about doing it with the 92-95 fenders, don't remember who it was, but anyways. We were originally going to do it like that. We were going to use most of the 5th gen fender, and then cut the very front off of the 6th gen fender and weld them together. The problem with that is that we would have had to smooth the body line out on the 6th gen fender so it would match the rest of the fender. And also on the fender, the flared part of it that goes over the wheel, along that edge there's a part of the fender that is straight up and down. Well the 6th gen fender part that is straight up and down is about an inch high. Whereas the 5th gen one is probably about 2 inches high. So then we would of had to make those two match up. So in the end we decided that it would be much easier to just use the 6th gen fender and mold the back end to match up with the door.
