I just got this noise out of the blue since about three days ago and don't know what is it. It's like a humming noise while turning the steering wheel during parking manoubering. Might it be the shaft in the steering column or the rack and pinion??? Who knows?

Note: My R is not that old. it's a '01 and 18 k miles.

 

this aways happens to me during this time of year... it fine when its warmer tho..

 

I got a squeaky noise with my R, but only in summer under a hot humid day.

 

...yes, it's what I've noticed. It started right after the cold weather came in. During summer it was always ok.

 

when i do the same, its sounds like my PS pump........ at least thats what i tell myself.
