right now i have 205/40R16 Nitto NT450 street tires and i am crossing the 1/4 mile in 13.8 at 100 mph at 7000 rpm in 4th. i want to get slicks and run 12's, which means i'll be 105 or so mph, but i don't want to run out of rpm in 4th. the tires i'm using now are smaller than the prelude tires, which explains why the speedo is off. what size slicks should i get so that i'm between 6500 and 7000 at 105 mph in 4th? i'm looking to get 13" slicks. thinking of 23" slicks. i plan on getting 205/50 street tires on 15's, but i don't want them to hit the fenders. thanks.
