Do smaller tires affect your mph?
will smaller tires hurt your mph? i am running a 20x6x14 slick in a crx si/b16. I ran a 14.8 with a 92.5 mph with a shity 2.2 60 ft. Sounds sorta slow. whats everyones opinions.

as long as u r not shifting into 5th smaller slicks should acheive more mph. might not be much but they make ur gears shorter and put more torque to the ground.

Maybe he has shitty street tires and can't launch on them??? His car, his money. No rule saying you need to be fast to use slicks. He wants to know the full potential of his car by using slicks. If you go auto-xing or road racing, you wouldn't want crappy street tires either would you?
I personally use BFG DR's and I only run a 14.8. Yeah I know that's slow. The reason I bought the DR's is because my street tires are shitty BFG Euro T/A's (with a lot of tread left), which are comparable to the stock Michelin XGT V4's, and I didn't want to replace them with better-performing tires.
