I'm buying a 99 Type-R and I have a few questions in my mind, like A/C for example....
Hi guys, I'm buying a 1999 Integra Type-R with 73,000kms, I'm financing it off a lease from the previous owner, but it does not come with A/C, now can I have that installed after and how much would that be?? In Canadian Dollars cuz I'm from Toronto. Also, does that do any harm to the car as well?? Also I dunno why but I have an after market sunroof installed as well form the previous owner, now I have never seen any Type-R's with this, so how safe is that?? Also, how do I get a thorough check on how its been driven, and how much would it cost?? Should I go right to Acura?? Anyway, please write back, thanks for the help guys,

1) about the sunroof, enjoy it.
2) not much you can find out about the car, but the dealer might have some records when the VIN is entered.
3) forget about adding the A/C, though it is possible (after all ... you've got a sunroof instead).

Why so sketchy tho?? And why not put an A/C, how much do they go for?? The kms may match up to her years, but how do I know if she's been driven hard or not?? I just wanna know if Type-R's can take punishment, and if its worth thte investment. I drive a 1997 Anniversary Edition right now, and I wanted something way faster, which is why I wanted to switch to the Type-R and sacrifice some of the luxuries of the GSR.

I have a 99 ITR and have A/C..... so it can be put in. I never use it tho. I just roll down the windows.

haha... no more posts. but i'd say stay away from an ITR with an aftermarket sunroof.
