You can probably clean it, but you're still going to have to oil it up again... you might as well spend the $10-11 and get the ail filter charger kit...

I still have lots of the oil left, it's the cleaner that gets used up the most. Why buy when I have gallons of Simple green at home.

Dishwashing soap breaks down oil just about the best.
