Default Not Honda related, but emergency!!

Ok...my s-10 needed gas, so i pulled up to a Texaco and start pumpin gas....well after a few seconds of lookin around, i finally looked up at the gas pump and noticed that i was pumping in DIESEL fuel into my truck!! I pumped about
1 1/4 gallons into my truck...I had about 3 to 4 gallons of unleaded fuel in the tank....so i started up my truck and it felt weird for a bit, but nothin happened, so I headed off for home. Well, the good news is...its runnin...the bad news, it feels really sluggish. Just wondering if i seriously damaged my engine by doing that?

That's funny, once I was driving up to Sacramento, and I stopped to get gas, it had a bou, and I went to get a drink, so my lady puts in the gas. I come back out and get in the car and take off. I was on the freeway and it started backfiring and missing, and running rough. Then she starts saying how that gas station was wierd and the pump didn't fit into the filler hole, she had to hold it above and fill it slowly. D'OH! I go to the next gas station and get fuel treatment and topped off the tank with premium. I just kept stopping and filling up with premium to keep diluting it. After about 700 miles of driving it was better. Just keep using premium and fuel system cleaner and you should be fine. It probably damaged the cat a little, but it still passedsmog. Good luck.

Yeah, I still give her crap for it. The funniest part is we were going to visit her parents. And she was worried that it was going to backfire in front of her dad. She was saying "I don't want him to think I'm stupid"

i thought you cant fit a diesel pump into an unleaded port?

anyways if you are worried, just drain the fuel.. there should be a drain bolt. or you can pull the fuel line and hot wire the fuel pump so it stays on.
