Will the B18b TB (60mm) swap over to the 1g B16a? What mods are needed if any? Is the MAP sensor on the B18b TB like the B16a2? I know where theres one I can get. Thats the only reason I ask.
Thanks for the info.

if you swap on a 92+ d series intake manifold you can use any b series tbody. you can go as big as possible but you will lose velocity of air and decrease performance. i wouldnt go any higher than a 58mm on a a6

yes to all. no mods required cept extend the map sensor connector from the stock location to the tbodies map sensor.

The H22a that i had measured 62mm, but all the h23s ive seen measured 60mm, maybe those need separated and corrected.

I have a machinist taking a spare TB that I had and is going to work it a bit for me... .001" over stock, and losing the cone shaped intake walls; it's going to be the same size down the body, with new blade and reworked TB shaft. I know I'm going to lose air velocity, but I'll have more air volume... is the trade off worth it?

I'll still keep my hands on the stock TB to T -n- T, so either way I'll be aight. Just curious.

doh i threw away my dpfi d15b1 manifold
my d15b1 TB measures 42mm (that's with a cheap tape measure so +/- 1mm)

Now all we need is a definitive list of which TB's have the same bolt pattern, I guess I could check out part #'s of TB gaskets and see which engines use the same gasket. I was accually thinking about using an F22 TB on my D16A6, but someone told me that all F series, and all D series were the same size. Now that I know better, I no longer have access to that TB

which side are you measuring from? the inlet side or the side going to the manifold (since its a slight taper)? cause i measured about 1mm bigger for both the b18a and the y8. but thats on the inlet side.
