Default b16a crankshaft in b18a???

would a first gen b16a crank work in a b18a block (for lsvtec)????? or is it worthless?????? just wondering because i read that the GSR crank can be used so that you can rev higher....
thanks....

why bother with this? are you afraid an lsvtec cant rev high enough for you?

i wouldnt even consider using the GSR crank in my ls block because its just a waste of money. if anything you could do the 'long-rod' setup which requires a .137" longer rod (compared to OE LS rods) and custom spec pistons so that you would then have a 1.58:1 r/s ratio like the GSR/ITR motors. but i cant justify the extra $$$ just for the GSR r/s ratio not to mention a slight loss of displacement from doing the 'long rod' setup. i'll take my chances.

otherwise if you have the money then just get a GSR block to begin with.
