im trying to build a sleeved 2.1 crv turbo motor..
im trying to get the best deal on any parts that i can, i had planned to go with an R oem LSD in an LS tranny, but not sure if 350+ whp would cause problems for the LSD since its a lot of hp for a stock lsd, can go with quaife but its $$ im trying to save..

any opinions from aaaaaRRR's ?

go with Quaife - they have warranty.

 

The R LSD is fine with huge hp numbers. I had to insert new syncros in the tranny after this season and the LSD looks perfect (we took a lokk at at). Drove 14000 miles with 370whp. No problems to the LSD.

local guy puttin down 390@ wheels with OEM LSD. runs it at the drag strip multiple times a year, never had a problem.

 

I think TurboItr was running the stock LSD with 350+ at the wheels for a while, but I am not positive on that one.

 

Jealous?

I'm going with a Quaife, GSR gearing and JDM 36 mm axles/hubs.

im trying to cut corners, if its not worth it then i wont, just trying to get a basis idea.

Oh well, mine was changed before i bought it I R Quaifed up

 

My car's got 275 NA HP and I replaced the diff with a Quaife. It made a huge difference in traction and drivability over the stock LSD. It's perhaps the best mod per dollar I've made.

 

mine was fine on 340whp
now im down to 210..but still no probs
