Coilovers. What should I get?
Ok I need your help fast. I am so confused on what the hell to get. People like something and others hate it. I am looking at some Skunk2 and Ractive Dual Spring ones. I need your help. What are you running. How do you like it. What should I stay away from? Help me!
Thanks

Well I just dropped $506 on my Tokico Blues. They will lower it 1-1.5" already so all I want in some coilovers that can handle the drop. Which are coilovers. So I am going to get some coils.

crx with skunk 2 coil over with koni adjustable shocks. Make sure you get the right spring weight available. I have 440lbs front and 330 rear. Because I have a b16a with more weight in front. I should of gotten 500lbs spring instead for what I want to do. Road race. Highway driving sucks though, don't drink coffee.
Well first off, stay away from $99.00 ebay coilover kits. Those are junk. You really do get what you pay for. Alot of people have either Skunk2 or Ground Control coilovers. Those are popular because they work and are of good quality. I would get one of those. They aren't too expensive at all, around $250. Ground Control also comes with Eibach springs which is one of the best.

The only need for coilovers is if you're going to corner weight your vehicle, which has no effective use on the street. you'd be better off getting a nice set of springs (Eibach, Neuspeed, etc). just because you have coilovers doesn't mean you can lower and raise your car as you like, as your alignment will be ]so out of whack, you'll go through a set of tires in a couple months (from the wicked toe settings).
if you are going to get coilovers still, you can buy any of the sleeves and order quality springs from Eibach. ERS (Eibach Race Springs), which come on GC coilovers, are hands-down the highest-quality spring available. they can be ordered in custom rates, sizes and all that good stuff, to suit any application. so you could buy the cheap eBay coilovers, and then order ERSs, and have the same performance. the only difference is the quality of the sleeve and ease of adjusting them (which only needs to be done once, when corner-weighted).
hope this helps your decision.

I hope that is in Canadian $, or you got ripped off. The shocks aren't lowering your car. Shorter springs will lower your car.

The front were ok but the back ones...well it drove like it didn't have shocks or springs in the back. IT WAS ROUGH! Almost undrivable. My liver still hurts!
