YES! After 2 years of wimpy snow in NYC, I finally got another chance to do some donuts

My TL had a transmission failure and brought to a dealer for warranty repair. They set me up with Enterprise for a free rental of a 2001 Cavalier...and couple days later, comes the winter storm

I find the best spots are the ones that the plowers just went by. A layer of thin snow is much easier than a thick one. Casually turn it around and give gas while jabbing the e-brake and I got my record setting of 11 360s today

Since my R puts down more horses at the wheel, I guess it will spin more violently... can't wait to give it a try.

Is there any bad side effect of this unhealthy addiction? I love snow and it's the only time I wished I had a RWD.

My dad always told me doing donuts messes up your alignment, but I'm not sure if he told me that because it's true or to scare me off of ******* around in the snow.

Anyway, in my Jeep since it's 4 wheel drive I can get it going in perfect 360's without hardly any movement at all, as long as I hold the gas it will spin

I guess snow will ease a bit on the alignment...hopefully.

 

Dunno. The ARRRR ain't leaving the garage since it's still shod on Azenis tires. The RAV4 ... errr ... that's ok. No need to do anything silly in a top heavy car.

Come pick my *** up if you take your ARRRR out for snow shennanigans. I'll video tape it.

 

Donuts only mess up your alignment when you hit stuff.
Like buried parking lot dividers.

 

hehe...I'll practice on the cavalier first.
I'll pick you up and go for literally a spin if the snow are still there in the city this weekend...They clear them up really fast.

God...I shoulda brought my camera.


Hehe...that's why I always go to the one with no cars, no curbs and no light poles.

nice... I had to use the e-brake to get my car home last night. Without it I couldn't get the car to change direction

 

My favorite thing to do in my CRX in the snow was pull the e-brake to make the end spin around when I turn, I was pretty good at driving dukes of hazzard style like this in the snow... don't want to risk it in the R though

I think EVERYONE does it, which BLOWS MY MIND why anyone would buy one of enterprise's used cars!

 

I know it's morally unacceptable...but I can't resist.....
Like flooring it and see how fast it picks up, and 0 time warm up...etc. How can I be so cruel?

god i ******* hate florida... i'm still in shorts and a T-shirt.... what i would give to go drive around in snow.

in highschool a friend of mine and I went out to the schools drivers ed range after a snowfall and started doin some doughnuts in his f150. out of no where a cops come flying up to us and gave him a wreckless driving ticket.

be careful with the doughnuts, cops suck
