Default trade in my accord.....

i had a quesion about trading in a car. well, first I've had a change of choice in cars now. From my 01 coupe, I've decided to get an SUV. And for me to trade in a car for the (dont get mad) ford exscape that I want, do I take it to ford or honda to trade in? I've modified my car with coilovers, aem cai, new front and rear speakers and reciever. I can remove the coilvers and put back the stock ones and the speakers also and the AEM but the reciever I cannot. Will it greatly decrease the value is my other question. I love my car but I believe its time for a change. You guys have other SUV's in mind that would be good with the trade in vaule for my coupe and plus $$7000? Thanks for your time.

yeah... dealership will give you crap for your car... u have better chances at selling it for much more in the paper or something.
assuming you're looking for a ford escape sized suv... i would suggest the toyota highlander

when i first bought my car, i didnt kno **** bout "racing" or "fast cars"....i jus wanted a car....i fell in love with my accord so i put a good amount of cash in modifying it...nothing really big tho...i just got tired of having the common asian lowered import...i jus try to get from point A to B but i've met many domestics and imports who love reving on me and cuttin me off...its pretty funny...plus my taste has change....i jus fell in love with the escape since its not a huge suv...the m,azada tribute is almost the same as that..either one would do..and i plan to keep that car say if i got it for a long time...im not paying anything and my parents are quite hesitant since we payed off the accord right away and now i want another one so they are also questioning me if id want another car in like 2 years...i doubt it...a small compact suv would make me happy...plus if i have kids....its all good...haha...we bought the accord at a high *** priuced...kinda ripped ok..27k out the door and its not even a v6...jus the top of line 4cyl...its a year old so i hope i can get like 13-15k for it since a new tribute or escape is like19-21k....

i know what you mean about falling in love with it, im getting tired of mine too. anyway im gonna agree with other peeps, dont trade it in. either post on a few forums and sell it modded, or take all the stuff off and throw it in the paper.

I'll never sell my accord (hell it's been paid off for years and every month that goes by is another 400 in my pocket...that is until I hit the stage you are in and buck up for the Acura RL...) But I would go with the Mazda tribute over the Escape anyday. They are essentially the same car but the Tribute has been noted to have better handling and the body looks classier and more unique. (I am biased since my girl has one) But they are quick (200hp) and they handle like a miata (since the suspension was designed based on the miata) I'm not saying I like miatas but name another SUV that will handle like a car... Good luck!!

Hey I agree with with everyone that you should sell in on your own youll probbably get what ur asking for it. If you go to a dealer they will defenitly rip you on the price. As far as getting the Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) youre better of getting something like the Honda CRV or the Toyota Rav 4.

Just sell it in the paper. In the past two years that I have been driving I have had six different cars(Three of which I still own), the other ones I sold for nice amounts of cash. I sold my 95' Accord Ex Coupe 5-speed for $5800, and a dealer only offered me $4000. It only had 67k miles on it and it had a salvaged title. If I got nearly $6k for it, then you will definetly get at least $13-14k for yours.
