Default Rota Attacks, anyone have them?

Does anyone have the 15x6.5" Rota Attacks? I have never seen anyone in the ITR forum ever discuss these. Anyone have them? Nice, light and cheap!

Also, with a 6.5" rim, is a +45 offset ok? I have stock calipers now, but am interested in knowing if these rims would hold the Spoon calipers, for future reference.

the whole Rota vs. Real is a huge debate.

I personally like the wheels.

Just wondering about the offset actually. The Rota vs. Real debate seems to be very quiet, and I'd like to keep it that way. I dont have volk/spoon/advan/etc money, and since i'm only going to track days/autox for my own personal enjoyment (rather than to race and make money), I don't really see the point. That's just my opinion though, to each his own.

+45 offset with a 6.5" wide rim sounds like it would work for me.... Anyone?

rota attacks are good wheels the only time i would say to get the real thing is if there are advantages to it. sw388 vs slipstream - there's a clear difference in manufacturing quality, weight, etc... so if one could afford it i'd definitely say go with the sw388s.

gram lights are a different story. they're not made by volk (as some seem to think)... and they are rays engineering wheels only by name. they carry none of the characteristics of other forged rays wheels... i mean, there are gram lights that are forged but 99% buy the 57c's and think they are mAd JdM tYtE y0... when they are only $800 since they are cast rims. if you are trying to decide between rota attacks and the exact same wheels with a rays sticker on them, i would go with the rotas in a heartbeat.

and chris, i hope you're set on 15"s or 17"s cuz they dont come in 16". i would have said to go with 16x7 but they dont seem to make em in that size... yet. 15x6.5 or 17x7.5 are your choices. the 17"s might not be such a bad choice because of their width...

You'll need 2-3mm spacer to clear Spoon calipers. 7" w/ +45mm will work in most cases (except some weird spoke designs).

Thanks Sean.

Thats what I was looking for. *IF* (and that is a big if) I ever look into the Spoon calipers, I'd rather not have a huge problem. 2-3mm spacers aren't too bad. extra track width.

I have the Gram Lights and since they were so cheap I decided to get them instead of the attacks.

Who makes the Gram lights if Rays doesn't then (I don't really believe that Rays doesn't make them but if I'm wrong oh well)??

Besides if Rays doesn't make them then put them on the list of wheels that are made by another company that a company with a good name feels good enough to put their name on the product (IE: SPoon > Desmond Rega Masters)
