I got this JL sub from a friend dirt *** cheap, and put it in a sealed Q-Logic box. Now all I need is a quality amp. What do some of you audio heads suggest?

Keep in mind this is no custom install. Just a sub and amp I can take in and out of my car quickly when need be.

Well, I'm not looking for somthing top end, but I dont want a pawn shop special. So what do you suggest?

 

Well if you want a good amp for just bass, there is an MTX for about $250 that will work perfectly. I personally like JL or Orions, but you are looking at about twice as much $.

 

JL250/1 is perfect for that sub. They can be had for less than 300.
I think you can get 'em for 270 or so.

If you look on ebay (if your comfortable doing that) you can find a lot of good deals. Just be careful and read people's feedback.

 

I wouldn't buy stuff from ebay. But ordering from the internet will be alot cheaper. shop around.
