Default Ignition upgrade with hondata s200??

My good buddy is going to turbo his gsr motor with a build bottom end stock head with the exceptiong of valve springs and retainers and a max rev t3/4 turbo kit. He plans on getting the hondata s200 kit with boost option and was asking me if, given the fact that he will have the hondata, will he still need to upgrade his ignition system. I figured yes, I would think a larger spark would be needed even though you can fine tune your igniton and air/fuel mapping. Am I right and if so what kinda ign. system upgrade would you recommend? He will daily drive this at 8psi and 12-15 on race days.

u don't need a ignition system like a MSD 6a when running low boost... hondata can handle it fine... for higher boost application some people run MSD's some people don't.... a larger spark will always burn fuel more effectively but do we need it on r Honda’s... is a question not many ppl know the answer to... but ya better safe than sorry i recon... which is why i run a MSD 6a with a MSD blaster coil...
