Default will a unchipped p28 running a b16a HURT the engine at all?

I'm running it on a b16a2.. trying to decide if i need to get it chipped or if its safe to run it this way for a lil while..

you can run it that way, but it will suck. Get it chipped so you can really use the motor.

my friend has it on his b16. imo i think it help him more when he had more mods.

..just like a few people have said already...it won't hurt your engine, but it will hurt performance a little bit, since the stock P28 programming is made for a SOHC VTEC engine which uses less fuel consumption and timing in comparision to a stock DOHC VTEC program.

if you'd like to have a close to stock B16A program for your P28 ecu, I have one available. Check the link in my sig out or IM me if you're interested.


but overall, it will not hurt your engine, the early 7200rpm redline will protect you from getting pregnant.

I just noticed your name JUNEK9--- I never read names just topics. Any how IF you have JUN cams you WILL want to get a chip for the P28. Otherwise you'll be hating life even more than a 10yr old hates church.
