Default speakers have fuse?

when i was driving last night, i heard a pop, but the speakers still works, but it has a very loud alternator whine..so i turned of the radio and turned it back ..theres nothing coming out from all 4 speakers anymore. so i was wondering if i blew a fuse or if theres anything else to it? the radio still works. but just no music coming out.

I was about to start flaming you for your 10.1, then I saw the 1/8. LOL. Anyways, what I would do is disconnect your battery ground cable. THen remove all your speakers. Reattach your battery ground. THen connect one speaker at a time. It is possible that 1 speaker has an internal short, or that the wire got grounded out somewhere. If still nothing, make sure nothing behind the radio is grounded out especially the amp turn on wire.

you mean the blue remote wire? i went to a shop that does installations, they told me i might have blew the amp in the radio so i might need a new one. but i thought that was kinda BS, because right before it blew, it worked fine. and i wasnt bumping it or anything. when i heard the pop, there was a big alternator whine. so you think it might have touched other wires..? but the alternator whine wasnt a low one, it was a really loud one that can hurt your ears. but when i turned off the radio, turned it back on, i still hear the whine, then when i left the radio off for about 2 mins, turned it on.. nothing came on again.

OK, pull the stereo and disconnect the speaker wires. Check all your connections. THen use a test speaker, any speaker laying around or a $5 speaker from radio shack and test the outputs. If you have no output then the internal amp is dead. I cannot take any responsibility if you try this, do this at your own risk, but I have successfully brought back 2 dead radios by touching the amp turn on wire to 12 volts. I have also seen smoke come out and smelled electrical burning from doing this, but the stereos were already dead.

ok i tried tracing all the wires and stuff. everything is hooked up properly and no loose wires. when i turned up the volume to max, i hear music coming out from the rear speakers. but it was very very faint, that you cant hear it clear until you put your ears to it. if the amp blew, nothing else would come out right?
