Default NSX Testdrive

Man, i love my ITR and yesterday i had the chance to testdrive the "big brother":
'92 NSX V6 Killer Vtec - what should i say? Now i know why the NSX is that expensive!!! The car is brilliant in all categories...

great engine sound: the V6 hits Vtec and sounds like a V8 NASCAR-yeah!!! tons of power: you drive around 220 km/h in 5th gear, hit the gas and the car still kicks you in the *** from behind!!!
Top speed on german highway: 275 km/h and it feels absolutely secure and easy to drive - you can tell that car is build for high speed action!!!

Excellent suspension: brutal fast cornering speed and on the other side you can't feel any bumps on the street - the suspension simply compensates it!!! Just great!!!

The inside of the car is also very nice: the cockpit is simply build around the driver...

What should i say? My next car will be a '92 NSX - it's just the only next step after the ITR and the prices for this year of manufacture are not to high!!!

If you have the chance - test drive one - you won't regret it!!!

Here are some pics:

I test drove a '99 NSX that a local dealer had. I couldn't believe the guy was letting me drive it... lol. And yeah, I agree, the NSX is completely jizz-tastic. It would take me a while to get used to the whole engine sound coming from behind you instead of in front of you

Fastest I got to go was like 60mph though... damn traffic :\

And can someone answer me why the hell a 99 NSX would have a TAPE PLAYER?! That blew me away in the one I drove! ******* selling a used car for something like 70 grand with a tape player!

I had the chance to take a '91 out on some backroad winding sections. It is most definetly 'jizztastic'

Then my friend totalled it.

The amazing thing is how easy the NSX is to drive around town, dare I say it drives like an Accord. I had the chance to drive a 03 a few months back(I think it even had a tape player). Let me say a NSX w/a supercharger is even more fun, it really gets up and scoots The other thing is how well the NSX holds together, even after seeing some w/90k on them.

My head with the helmet on would hit the roof. I can't imagine how you could fit in it, consider that you are a lot taller than me!

Is it easy enough to drive that you can effectively use the angry hand???

-nate (thinks the nsx is coo as ice but could never fit in it unless had my feet chopped off... )

I have never driven one but it is going to be my next car. In about three years i will be coming into some money so hopefully there will still be one around In good condition. By then the R will be paid off and possibly for sale.

Nate-You can easily give the angry hand out of a NSX even at triple didget speeds
On another note one of the CGI guys(yes I know everyone loves them) has a Zanardi Edition w/ Porsche brakes and a Basch s/c, however I'm not sure about the suede.

Unless you are over like 6' 6", this will not be an issue. The seat cushions are very thick and you can remove a portion of them so that you fit better. If you are seriously interested, check out the FAQ at http://www.nsxprime.com There are a lot of tall NSXers that use the NSX as daily drivers and track cars.

The Zanardi has leather bolsters with red stiching and fake suede(with holes in it) that you sit on.

The NSX rules...I park my 97 ITR(waxed with NSX wax) between my Dad's NSX and my brother's NSX hoping for mine to turn into a NSX, but no luck so far The only thing about US NSXs is that the gearing sucks in the 91-96. When you shift from 1st to 2nd at 8k, you go out of VTEC and have to wait a little while(seems like forever) to get back into VTEC. My brothers has the NSX-R "short gears" and it is amazing how different it feels...shift more often and always in VTEC while shifting at redline.
