Default went to Palmdale tonight evaualte time slip

Tonight I went to Palmdale raceway to test out my b2ovtec power plant

94 gsr- gutted backseats
b20block-
84.5 wiesco pistons 11.5
eagle rods
action clutch
portflow head-skunkmanifold-portflow valve train
ctr cams, jdm 4-1 header
open exhaust-
car is untuned
ran on 22.5X15 lensos

I1 1.882
I2 5.727
13 8.9522
MPH 76.604
I4 11.623
ET 14.043
MPH. 95.760
I ran the slicks at between 8psi-9psi I varied my
launch from 7800rpms to 6700 rpms. The track
was pretty dusty so the car was not hoooking up that good

I was just wondering how hp do you think my motor is putting
out. I know its untuned by just a round about figure
corrected time for the elevation 27100 was 13.59 at 98.987

I think I need bigger cams and some injectors

thanks for any helpful comments

Nice start. I would definately get it tuned. It makes a difference. Considering the weight of your car, I'm guessing you're at the 185whp range. You should get AT LEAST 200whp after tuning. Your 60' times are "okay", you can probably get it down to 1.7 if you change the slicks. Get some 13x22's.

Look for low 13's in Palmdale after tuning. Get bigger cams and some different slicks and 12's might be possible.

I would agree, I run a 14.08 (2700 ft elevation) with 163 whp weighing 2590 with me in it and a 2.08 60 (drag radials)....you should at least have been in the mid 13 range on slicks low 13's (at palmdale) should come once your tuned and making 195-200 whp.

Your tq alone should move that car pretty quick....140ftlbs+ easy

I think that's pretty damn good.

Don't mind what other people tell ya. All this talking.....have yet to see a stock gsr break into 15s.

A lot of people say they got this and that....and when I watch them, they run significantly slower than what they say.

Good job.

Shoot, 92-95 Hatchbacks can barely break 14's at palmdale.

If you go to Palmdale on friday nite, youll see like 15+ Civics with swaps in them...and 95%+ of them are not going faster than like 14.9

in hatches. So I think thats good. At pomona, you would have ran like a 13.5 or 13.6

dunno about anyone else, but that seems mighty slow for what it is. i've had a bone stock gsr hit 14.6's there.
bone stock gsr, 14.6 at palmdale? in the words of al bundy, "ummmmm no peg"

I've had two friends with JDM GSR's in their EG hatches run in the 14.5-14.9 area at palmdale. I know they should've run quicker than that...the track sucks *****.

are we talking about an integra here? or is this a hybrid? if you're talking about a hybrid, then i retract my al bundy statement. but if this is an integra.... was this with slicks?

Edit: ohhh. ok that makes much more sense.

I can definately vouch for that. You'll be surprised how many hybrid hatches are in the 15s!!! Palmdale is not the greatest. Let's take my car for example:

92 hatch geezer motor with intake/header, vx wheels/stock tires

14.85 with a 2.2 60ft (exhaust on)

I did two passes with exhaust cutout (open header): one with the stock wheels...second with 20x8x14 m/ts mounted on steelies

14.9 with a 2.4 60 ft
This time obviously would have been faster...but the 60ft sucked.

14.2 with a high 1.9 60ft
This was on the slicks.

Dude, you'll net such slow times there that the hybrid guys think my motor is built. They don't believe me.

though married with children is my favorite show, its fact that my BONE STOCK gsr coupe hit 14.6 @ palmdale not fiction. ****...i've seen fairly stock b16's hit very very low 15's even solid 14's @ palmdale for that matter. sorry to burst ur bubble maybe its the driver not the car.
I'd like to see you do that. What car and setup do you have now? And if you haven't ran it, what do you think you'll run?

Ok.....never mind. The guy said GSR Coupe at first......

I guess 14.6 is feasible with slicks.

Did trackmasters build you motor? Erick is a good guy. Palmdale does suck alot. The altitude and the high winds at night smoting it. I think with some tunning and practice you will get better times.

RK: What slicks do you got? Next time you go to palmdale on a Friday put a post here on the forum. I am almost ready to run this pos car.
