95 ex auto vtec motor into 93 accord lx 5 speed????????
ok, a kid i know has a motor out of a 95 accord exits an f22b i think, the sohc vtec one, and my motor has very high miles, and doesnt run that great anymore, he wants 600 for the motor and auto tranny, but i dont want the tranny, where can i sell the tranny?and how much is it worth? it has 58k miles on it, but my car is a 5 speed, and also will this motor work out ok in my 93 accord lx??are there any obstacles to overcome doing the install?
im not doing this for performance either, it is just my beater i drive to and from work everyday

sure, itll work. just make sure you get the ecu for it, too.
installation should be farely simple.
you could probably sell the tranny for what you are buying the whole setup for, no problem. the f22 trannies usually will run you anywhere from $800-$1200, sometimes as low as $550.

you could probably sell the tranny to a salvage yard or out of a parts magazine, just about anywhere.
im pretty sure the 95's auto ecu's had a seperate transmission computer, so you may just be able to use the engine computer and itll work.but im not 100% sure.
PLEASE someone correct me if im wrong, i dont wanna give any wrong info.

ohh and just so you know....if you use that motor, you must use all its accesories...**** like the alternator, a/c, p/s will only work with its own motor...you can't interchange parts from a 93 or earlier(i think f22b1) onto a 94-97 motor(i think f22b2). I tried to put a 94 motor in a 92 and the accesories off the 92 would not bolt up to the 94 motor so I had to buy **** off a 94 and make it work.
It may have just been the brackets or sumthing...this was ahile back so I forget everything. But I know you'll have to play around with the different brackets and accesories to see which works and doesn't.

the motor your getting if from a 95 ec is a f22b1 i think you can use the auto engine harness but you might want to see if you can get a hold of a manual one to be sure the auto one has i think two extra plugs on it im not sure if you can just chill them also you will need the 5spd ecu to do the swap. it should be pretty easy straight forward use all f22b1 mounts,
uh what manual tranny are you going to use?
