I have the Azenis and they seem to be lasting me rather well and that includes a HPDE at limerock and a smokey burnout last night too.

The only thing I did notice about the Azenis is that they don't grip a street too well if the temps outside go below 30... I guess all tires would have that problem too

I've been to the drag strip a few times this year and I've put about 10,000 miles on my Azenis and there's still a hell of a lot of rubber left!

I have a similar hard choice but mine is for daily/track/auto-x use.

195/50/15 S0-3's or 205/50/15 Azenis. Hard decicion IMO. I should be happy either way though

go with any of them. Maximum dry grip would go to the azenis.. Its your choice though. I had the 712s before my azenis and I still think they are both good. Both last long. Its just up to you. a matter of fact. My fastest E.T at the drag strip was with the 712.

What is a 711... other than your local stop & rob?

Absolute lateral grip = Azenis
Wet handling = Kumho
Daily driving = Kumho (unless you plan to change tires every 6-8 months w/ Azenis)
AutoX = Azenis
Drag = I dunno.

i just got my azenis today and i still spin like crazy off the line. right when i left discount tire i went to try them out and i'll spin
all through first gear launching at 2500 rpm. do you think the psi is too high on the tires? i don't know what the guys set them
at when they put them on.

You might try breaking them in! Try driving around for a couple hundred miles and then beat the crap out of them.

They're actually very very impressive in the rain. I've had both tires and don't drag race. But I would imagine the Azenis wouldn't be too great for drag, it has stiff *** sidewalls, better for cornering not really launching IMO. Maybe the 555R's are a better choice?
