Hybrid Q. Which mounts did you use?(pics 56k warning)
I am using all prelude mounts on my car, it runs great, no shakes or shimmys, or any thing else I have noticed... but I have had a couple people tell me I am going to break my axles using the prelude mounts. Is there any truth to this?
here are pics, a few people have said it is crooked....

yea, we know that is what is generally done, but we wanted to be different, so we used prelude mounts, and mount brackets....and as needed, shaved a little off of the driver's-side mount
Im just wondering if this is going to cause me any issues... I have heard yes and know, I came here because I trust the technical advice given.

well being way different might cause you to break something
not to sure, we all use just the diver side.... dont see why, but that would make some sense that you will break them

I did the 5-speed conversion too....my question that nobody will answer is which tranny mount bracket do you use....everyone says the accord tranny mount but that bolts to a bracket on the tranny and i'm wondering if everyone puts their accord bracket on that tranny or is everyone's h22's coming with its own bracket and they use those??? I don't wanna buy an accord tranny bracket for it to not bolt onto my tranny. I know it will bolt up to the prelude tranny mount(they are identical) but not sure if the accord bracket will bolt to the h22 tranny.
(i underlined bracket everywhere so you realize I'm not talking about the mount but a bracket that bolts onto the tranny)
juiced h22- Does the drivers side of your motor sit higher than the tranny side? Mine does and I had to slim the drivers side motor mount to level the motor and I'm thinking using the prelude tranny bracket is the problem or the prelude tranny mount(but the accord and prelude trany mounts look identical)

No offense, just curious, but why would you care to be different about which motor mounts you used???
If your engine sits at any angle different than where the axles normally would sit, it could pull on the axles and ruin them. How do they look when the car is sitting?

slow- I am pretty sure we used prelude tranny mounts
2000A- We used the prelude mounts/brackets because they are stronger and larger than the accord ones, especially so for the rear mount (on the accord, the rear mount is designed so it 'gives way' as the engine revs up, for a smoother, more economy car ride, where the lude does not[i will try and take pics of differences if I can find a set of each layin around])
h22- thanks for the compliment, they are always nice to hear
have any pics of yours?

thats a big ol' energizer battery, i didt know that they made car batts.
I had a friend brake his axels with this swap using the prelude mounts so he actually just want out and said some custom made axels...cant remember right now what he went with..anyways any more pics of the whole car? swap looks clean though any 'closer' pics
