How hard are you on your brakes?
OK be serious and answer correctly, Only ITR owner answer please. Just a survey I'm working on.
I was wondering how hard is everyone on their brakes thru a normal week?
(normal week meaning- NO HPDEs, autoX, or any sanctioned events)
if your answer is differnet from one of the choices please say so.
If your looking for the option SWED, I ran out of choices- sorry

I'm generally not too hard on the brakes while driving on the street...but I do try to ABS them once a day to keep the rotor surface nice and clean
On the track...that's a whole other story. It's safe to say my brakes hate me at the end of every track day I attend.

I you look very far and anticipate what is going to happen, you'll barely need to step on the brakes hard, except on the track ofcourse...
I'm still using my first set stock pads (50000 km on the tach) and they are now halfway through. I switch to Ferodo DS3000 on the track...

If my brakes worked properly then maybe I would use them a lil more.
I'm usually never hard on my brakes.

I managed to get thick plumes of white smoke to pour out from the pads on the street once. Since then, I've upgraded to Porterfield R4-S on the street in the winter, and I use Ferodo DS3000 pads for daily street use in the spring and summer, simply because the brake feel is just awesome. I clean the wheels every 3 days or so with a quick windex wipe. So under most curcumstances, I am careful to let my rotors warm up slowly, especially in the winter. Once they're up to temp, I use them hard or easy, depending on which cam I happen to be on. Dang, some of that was off topic, sorry.
Not as hard as Willard!
Andy: Who thinks everyone should take a ride with Willard on a race track, "man knows how to brake".
