is there a way to tell wether a ecu is auto or manual without opening it? also to thell the year it came out of

 

I think on the hondata website it explains the numbers on the outside of the ecu. What numbers are on the sticker type thing on the ecu?

For the ECU I don't know the number stuff really well... If you have the ECU and you aren't sure then plug it in and see if it throws an automatic transaxle lockup code... If it does then you've got a auto ECU.. Laterz

 

I'm not that good with ECU's, but don't manual ECU's have a slot blank? B or C, I forgot which one.
