Default .help fast fast please???

i was driving dis morning and my car's engine check light turned on. i was lyk no. then my d4 light started to blink. if you have not notice so far i got a SS, but my tranny was fixed by honda at 39,000 miles. and now i got 49,875 don't ask i was the second owner. the first owner was my uncles. well back to the story, i went home and then i check the oil sorry i'm a noobie. the oil was black and smelled lyk gas mixed wit oil but smelled more lyk gas. i mean the car drove fine all the way home. no diffrent at all. When i got home i poured more oil in i use mobile1 synthic. I heard it was really good to use so i use it, but do you guy's think its because i have a intake and no exhuast or header that makes the oil that black. even before i was suppose to change my oil it was already low and it was really dirty. thank you guy'z for all the help need quick help. also i wanted to know if the engine check light is on how do i turn it off myself i heard to reset the ecu. i was thinking if i pulled the fuse for it would that work. also if you can could you tell me how to reset the ecu. thank you guy'z i was so scared this morning i was lyk its my second car and i never had that happen to me before.

If your oil wasn't low you shouldn't have added any.

If your CEL and D4 light are blinking it is most likely a tranny problem. Don't just reset the light, take it to your dealer to have it looked at.

no the oil was low, and i can't bring it to the dealer i have to put back the stock intake first. also after i had turned off the car, and turned it back on. the d4 stop blinking but the cel was still on. does that mean it was not the tranny? nothing went wrong on the car, i could still shift through all 4 gears and they would shift fine. no lag no hard shift nothing at all. but when i got home i checked the oil an it was dark. lyk really dark. i was just wonding if it was that? also if it was the oil after i change it i still have to reset the ecu to get the light off right?

If the CEL comes on AND the D4 blinks, then the TCM is reporting that a transmission code has been thrown. DO NOT RESET. The whole point of the CEL is to tell you something. It is not merely an annoying light that comes on that has to be made to go away. If you do not have a datalogger or a code scanner, then take your car to a dealer and have the car checked out.

Do you know how to retrieve the code by jumping the service connector? If you get the code yourself, you can post it up and I or someone else with a Helm manual will be able to tell you what the problem is.

On the passenger side of the center console, just below the dash there is an access cover. Pull that cover off and you will expose 2 connector plugs. You want the smaller plug with 2 leads. This is the service connector. With the car off, jump the two leads with something metal. A small paper clip works well. Once the service connector is jumped, turn the ignition key to the "on" position (don't start the engine). If you've done everything right up to this point, the CEL should now be blinking. You will see a series of long and short pulses. Long pulses represent a numerical value of 10, short pulses 1. There will be a long pause in between the series of blinks. Add up the long and short pulses, that is the trouble code. Post the code here. If the D4 is blinking when you jump the service connector, count its pulses as well, as it is also reporting a code that is seperate from the engine code. Post it up as well.

If you decide to take it back to the dealership, then put your stock intake back on before going there. Anyways, heres the site to see how to jump your cel.. Go to http://www.hondaprelude.to/main_checkengine.html

Are you sure that it was 4 long and five short for the tranny trouble code? There is no tranny code 45. Your engine trouble code is 7, throttle position sensor: open or short in the throttle position circuit.

Ok, the engine code you are throwing is 70, which just means that there is a transmission problem and it is referring you to the tranny code flashed by the D4 light. However, there is no tranny code 45, I don't know what to tell you there.

I wouldn't tell them anything. The codes are there, those are the first things they will check.

No, they won't do a 5 speed swap for you as a warranty repair.
