Looking for a stroker kit for a 1996 H22A. All motor/street. Anybody know what's available and where? Thoughts? Is running an H23 crank (with whatever mods it takes to do it) suicide?

 

A H23 crank in a H22 is just a mild stroker setup basically. I believe JUN makes a stroker kit but not worth it at $4200

 

Contact 2point6, he has a custom stroker kit and it's now a 2.44, with that and a few bolt-on mods he dynoed his car at 229 whp and 180 lb/ft of torque. He mentioned he could make a duplicate of his motor for $4000.

holy shitoly, that's a lotta torque!!! Is that tq at the wheels?...if so, that's about 212lb-ft of tq!

I just saw 2point6's mod list...he's got way more than just bolt-ons...full headwork, custom web cams, TB, modified IM, along w/ the basic I/H/E. No probs there. BUTT I found out the 2.44L includes a resleeved and bored block, along w/ stroking. I was hoping this was only a stroker kit. Still great numbers tho. So, do any stroker (no boring) kits exist for the H22A aside from Jun?
