anyone ever buy coilovers off ebay?
no way to tell the use they've gone under.
if the seller has good feedback and seems trustworthy (noting low mileage) then I don't see a problem with them.
most of the big name coilovers have to get rebuilt sometime anyway....

I'm curious about these also. They are new parts, not used. I have concerns about the spring-rates they use, and the alloys they make the adjusters out of. I see several sets for as low as $80 for all four corners...I can't imagine the parts being top quality for such a low price. I heard one bad story about the rears being really stiff, but nothing else so far. Any horror stories?
My brother has Hyper Ion coilovers ($115) on his 95 Accord with OEM shocks and the ride is not bad when it's a medium drop. But, when it's as low as can go the ride is pretty harsh. I think that has a lot to do with his OEM shocks being blown though.
I ordered a set off ebay ($90) as well and have them sitting here. Two of the locking perches were just a tad to big to fit into the spring so the ebayer is sending me 2 more. I will be running them on my OEM shocks as well for the time
I do / will upgrade to full coilovers sometime in mid/late 03 though. I don't plan to slam mine all the way, but just a medium drop. That may change once I see the drop at halfway.
The quality seems to be good from a visual point. Compared to the ground Controls I had on my 98. I like how the cheaper ones have 2 perches that lock into place versus GC's single perch.

I got some for my daily, they seem OK so far. Still have to put em on though. Think they are Areospeed or something. Brand new in the box, came with everything I needed... Spring rates appear to be normal. I'll let ya know if there are any issues.
A freind of mine bought ones of ebay for his EG hatch, i think theyre called matrix (theyre a nice blue colour) he loves them and is using them with new OE shocks, he hasnt the car slammed and the ride is pretty good with them, for regular street use and as long as you dont plan going to low with them then i'd say theyre a good deal, the spring rate at a high perch setting is pretty stiff for the price he paid for them, (i think it was just under $140 shipped to europe)
