00 ITR calipers, are they 1 or 2 piston calipers?
im thinking about using a fast brake 11" ITR rotor drilled to 4x100 to fit my 99 GSR and ITR calipers. there is someone selling 00 ITR calipers and they say that it's a 1 piston caliper. is that right? i thaught ITRs used a 2 piston. can someone clearify this?

yea dude love to get some funky spoons, do you know where to get the calipers for less than $1200.
I believe Mike M @ IPS had them on "special" recently.
Another thread where I can ask newbie brake related questions.
From my limited understanding of brakes, people want to move up to multi-piston calipers because of their distributed force on the brake pad/rotor (which may reduce braking distances). Plus the "larger" caliper design in multi-piston units may act as a bigger heat sink to dissipate heat (for track durability).
Now, is it truly worthwhile to go to a NSX/Legend calipers for their two piston/sliding caliper design? Even with the added benefits, there is the weight issue where you'd add more unsprung weight because of the cast iron design. Does the braking benefits outweigh (no pun intended) the addition of weight?

do you need spacers for the caliper? also do you know the rotor dia. and thickness? i do need a "cost effective" brake upgrade for track day, i run heavy *** stock GSR rims (on an already heavy 4-door) so i don't think a little added unsprung weight will make a huge difference, i'm more concerned with stop power. plus something else, what makes the type R calipers better than the GSR? why does the type R have such a better brake distance? weight difference is what 150lbs?

But again, I'm a braking newbie and I'm trying to learn more about it myself.
