As some/most of you know, my R was broken into in my driveway back on Feb 22nd. While at the dealer getting a estimate done it was broken into 4-5 more times, and more or less the rest of the car was stripped.
Well, after nine months the insurance company has settled!
I am headed to my attournys office in the morning to sign the last bit of paperwork, and picking up my check.
As part of the settlement, I am not allowed to discuss the $$ amount. But needless to say it wasn't nearly enough.

 

same thing happend to me recently...only in one fowl swoop. was it worth going to court for? did you end up paying anyway due to lawyer and court fees? atleast its over for you now though

 

Glad to hear that it's over, I'm sorry you had to go through that. At least you can spread the word to stay away from them.

Sorry to hear that. I hope everything is ok now. As a potential ITR buyer (still debating over ITR or S2k), are ITR's REALLY that "hot" of a car? I'm not hearing too many S2k thefts, but ITR's seem to "move" like crazy. Somewhat nervous about that.

not to swing from forum to forum, but I don't hear about s2k's getting stolen as much. More so because ITRs have more "swappability"? Damn.. maybe rolling in a 86 ford tempo is the way to go...*sigh*.
security systems not helping? I'm in Ohio.... maybe they aren't as hot (wishful thinking?)

 

I remember reading about that a while back. Glad it's finally over. Even though you didn't get as much as you should have, I'm sure it's a weight lifted now that it's over.

Punk - Damn this thread is long overdue. Glad you finally have the end in sight. I must admit I'm bitter with you for not sharing or agreeing not to share the terms of the settlement, but **** it's over now I guess. From your stories in the past I think you deserve more then what you got (more then "not nearly enough" anyway).

I forget, so please remind eveyone what insurance company NOT to ever do business with ....

I was with Allied insurance. Needless to say I have now switched to state farm.
Disclaimer: I am not suggesting that people currently insured with Allied, or considering Allied for insurance, go elsewhere.
Simply keep in mind that my dealings with them required 15+ thousand dollars in attourney fees, and took over 9 months to resolve.
Just the facts afterall.....
