Default need help... trying to figure out which ecu I have....

Before I owned my car, someone stole only the ecu from it. It was replaced with one that says "mugen spec". Anyways I'm about to get hondata and I need to know if it's a p72, p28 or whatever. Do I look on the ecu itself to figure it out? Also I think I'm running really rich... I've changed my plugs twice and each time they come out they're black. Could that be from a improperly tuned ecu? Sorry if these are n00b q's. TIA!!!!!

On the case of the ECU there should be a part number-for example:37820- P28 -A51. If someone peeled off the sticker, there is another one inside the case on the connector. The first three digit number identifies the ECU for you. And yes, an ECU that is using a fuel map that is too rich will blacken your spark plugs.
