Default T1R Header Ground Clearance (search didn't help)

Trying to gather some ground clearance info on a few different headers.

If anyone knows how the T1R compares to other headers (specifically the Spoon 4-2-1 and the JDM ITR 4-1), please let me know.

Thanks

for most of the 4-2-1 headers you should not have a clearance problem. I have the T1R and it fits beautifully. no problems. even if my car was slammed it would have no problems. to the T1R header

Really? I've heard that the Spoon hangs rather low.

I'm especially concerned since the header will be going on a B16. That's not particularly important for this thread...I'd like to know what people with B18s think.

the reason spoon 4-2-1 has clearance issues is because the primaries go all the way under the car and merge before the collector. the T1R primaries merge right at the point where they go below the car, which gives it way more clearance.

OK... those of you who own the T1R, do you like it? Not too many people seem to have this header (seached recent posts and the archives). Anyway, I was considering replacing my DC/JDM 4-1 with the T1R. I'm trying to remember what the dyno charts looked like for both headers (the header test site is down http://www.automotiveperformanceengi...om/header.html). I seem to remember their curves and peak HP/TQ were very close. Thoughts? Recommendations? Spoon is just out of reach $$$$

Finally... some more info on the illusive T1R header. I've been getting ready to call Mike at IPS for the Response version. Not planning on doing cams...

Indeed! Yeah I'm very interested to see how it performs against my DC/JDM 4-1. It's a great header for the price, but hangs too low. The Spoon would be my next choice but also hangs too low and is just outta reach price-wise...

I juss switched back to my 96spec header... T1R gets my vote...

not only is response and power up...

but it also makes this awesome sound..... hard to describe, but only T1R header users will understand.... nice ....this sounds ghey....but it's a growl....

I did a side by side comparo of the charts....not too much difference between the JDM ITR 4-1 vs. Type one....maybe their new header is better, though.

click the picture...imagestation resizes it to like 12x3
