Stupid question...but would like a decent answer and not to get 0wn3d!
in everyones opinion would it be retarded and a waste of money to mod out a 98 civic coupe? i was thinking comestic first. getting the 99-00 front and then 99-00 taillights and headlights...then go with a b16a2 swap and get some Mugen mf-8 wheels with a nice suspension...sound stupid or half sane?

Most people here also aren't too fond of the b16 swap due to its lack of power. Most people will tell you to go with the b18c1 or type r swap...
About the wheels, if you want the real deal thats cool. You can pick up a set of fakes for a lot less and you MAY be happy with those.

yea, if your thinkin all that cosmetic stuff then a b16 swap, just buy a 99-00 Si, its probably cheaper anyway.

get the MF-8's...you'll be pleased. Not trying to make another Crapa vs. Mugen thread, but the quality is obvious...forged bronze vs. cast. DO IT!! Keep the coupe. Those are dope cars, silver is my favorite and I like hot dogs....YUM

Glad to hear you want the MF-8's, damn they are sooo much better looking then the Rota knock offs, I was thinking about buying some today, costly though. But they looked soooo good in the show room.
Do what you want with your car, but my sugestion, listen clearly. The money you put into body work doesn't get covered by insurance, technically. Something might happen and it will be all gone. However you'll have much more fun with a swap. Inturn will remain unless car stolen of course.
