what size slicks for my application

Default what size slicks for my application

well here's my setup
92 cx
92d16z6
50 shot of NOS
bolt-ons
around 180whp on the spray

i was thinking about getting some 22x8x13,but what do you guys think,i'll be raising the shot soon so i want something for around 180-200 whp does this sound like a good setup

that size is a good all around size for 150-300hp.
so you should be good for awhile on that slick size.

I THINK THAT EVEN THE 22" SLICK IS STILL TOO BIG...with that set up I would think you would be ok w/just drag radials!

i was able to push the 22x8x13 with just 140hp to the wheels.
got some 1.7 60fts and same MPH as I had with 20x8x14. maybe it was just me. but one suggestion, if the car is underpowered, have the tire pressure higher to still be able to push the slick at the end of the track. don't want it too bubble gummy.

I agree completely....when I ran w/just the motor swap I had to have more air b/c it slowed me down at the end.....thing that sucked is that it had the torque to slip/chirp 22" M&H slicks off the line

never goona fit a stock steelie @ 13x5......

Cheapest rim for a 22x8x13 would be a 13x8 rim from Diamond would be $61 and weigh 14 pounds. You get a heavier wheel at about 1/3 the price. Also 14 pounds for a steel wheel is LIGHT!
