wheelie bars make a difference for NA?
A longer wheelbase will help any car with traction problems. It comes down to how bad your traction problems are and if it's worth the extra weight.
tony, about how much extra weight do the wheelie bars add. im thinking about trying them for next season. hopfully it will be my ticket to 1.4 60ft's
Damn.. looking at your times... I should have went with an LS/Vtec instead.. Hehe..
1.4 60 ft... Damn.. I'm just hoping to get 1.5 or so.

We cut average 1.4s.....i guess it depends on if you have enough power to push them off the line. We notice lots of people run them now. Just recently too!
Right along with the topic....What would be the reason to not go out the 65"-NHRA I think (IDRC, I can't find the max) right from the start. I hear people saying, "we are going to extend the wheelie bars for more traction." Why wouldn't you just put them as far out as allowed to start off with?
Is it a flexion thing? I mean the farther out you go, the more they have a tendancy to flex and put weight back onto the back wheels. Or more weight as you get longer?
Just wondering....
