whats the best ecu to use for a stock b16a2?
If you have the obd2-obd1 converter i guess the p28? what else would work though? and what if i didn't use the converter then what would be best to use? thanks in advance!
The answer is simple. Use a B16A ECU. A 1992-1995 JDM P30, 1992-1993 JDM PR3, or 1994-1995 USDM P30 will work fine.

good word man good word
good word man good word
Those will work fine but those are all obd1 ecu's correct? I'm saying if I weren't to use the jumper harness and kept it obd2 what should I do?

its a obd1 engine it will run better with a odb1 ecu.
Ok i should have been more clear about this. Its a b16a2 OBDII engine NOT obd1.. the obd1's are b 16a3. Ok so lets say I DO NOT want to use the jumper to convert to obdI.. I know.. obd2 sucks but I'm asking this becuase I want to know what to use when taking it in for emissions inspection.. obviously an obd1 ecu in an obdII car will not allow me to pass correct?
Correct. OBD2 cars get a function check of the ECU during a smog test-the smog machine hooks to the DLC (data link connector). If the ECU is OBD1, it won't pass.
