H22A Vtec Engagement
I was on my way home today and I hit Vtec on 2nd. Then after a stop sign I was on 2nd again, this time at 6K and no vtec engagement. Is that normal?
i warmed my car for 20 mins before i drove it. plus i droved it for about 10 mins before i hit vtec. it ain't a daily driver so maybe the vtec was lazy, haha. my oil level is about 2-3 centimeters below the max level, that can affect vtec?
How much for a new solonoid?

did you engage the throttle at the same angle both times?
on light throttle, sometimes it's harder to hear the engine change pitch compared to WOT, where you can easily hear the motor change attitude.

this morning added some oil and took the lude to work. i was testing the vtec on my way home. 1st gear vtec sounded low, not like the usual vtec sound. 2nd sounded/felt normal. i didn't test the rest of the gear since i was close to home. but is it normal for 1st gear vtec to be like that? i mean it doesn't sound as loud and pull as hard as 2nd. oh wells anyone with info holla back. thanks

Damn, 20 mins of warm up? Did you mean you let it sit for 20 mins?
