The local track has stated that "Functional neutral safety switch are mandatory."
Now the question is how am I to go about doing this. My CRX doesn't come with one so what do I do. The track is going by the IHRA rules. So do all you guys have one.

'88 CRXs did not come with them. I installed a cutoff switch in my CRX, in order to be legal.
sheeyit, now I wish I could find the instructions on how to do it... hang on... I drew it all up and mounted it with a custom bracket rather than install the entire pedal assembly.
OK, here it is: I used a C-shaped bracket, 1.8" on one end, 2.5" on the main section, and 1.25" on the final end. I cut holes in each end, 0.5" diameter on the bottom and 0.65" on the top in order to mount the switch and to bolt it to the pedal assembly. So it's like this:
.....\/ <-- hole here
-------

|----
...^ <-- hole here
Then you need to wire in the switch. You'll note that the plug that goes into the fusebox under the dash has a loop of wire in it, and that needs to be cut... here, I'll just scan in the 'diagram' I used and post it for ya
. I hope this helps! Of course, you'll need to buy the switch from a wrecking yard and the wiring it's attached to. Don't forget to get the nut that holds it in place on the pedal assembly.
