Does anyone know where I can get an install kit/wiring harness for my Accord?

Crutchfield doesn't have any info on the 2001 models, and I think it is different from the 2000...they added some kind of new stereo.

I am installing a Sony CDX-MP450X mp3 cd player.

If anyone has had success replacing the radio in their 2K1 Accord please let me know.

Any car audio shop should have harness/kit for your Accord. Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the Accord have some kind of anti-theft alarm in their radio?? If so, it might be hard to remove the radio. I would spend the install money if I were you. Good luck.

 

car shops will have everything you need. the accord radio has an anti theft feature yes, but that only means that if if gets disconnected, when it is reconnected it needs a special code. when you buy the car, you get a little card with the radio serial # and the special code. also you can have a honda dealer unlock it, but they like to charge you for that kinda stuff
