haha I am doing things in order ... camber first then lower it .. I have the springs and shocks at home ... But not the camber kit yet ... I already went through this but needless to say spending 1600 on tires in a year taught me a lesson ....

okay, first off.....never use spray can paints!!! it woulnd't hurt though to protect bare metal until it can make it to the bodyshop. those pinstripes need to be removed with an adhesive cleaner, but the bodyshop can do that with a wax and grease remover.

another thing is that, you must use wax and grease remover before you do anything to the car....if you dont and choose to primer it, you will cause serious problems with your future paint job....

in conclusion, if you dont know what you're doing, just take it to the bodyshop. you're not helping yourself out if you choose to do something wrong.

hope that helps.

there are 2 or 3 scraches that are starting to rust a little .. .right now its just surface rust .. could I sand those down and spray them with can primer or would that be bad? I know I have no idea how to do body work .. I dont plan on doing anything perminant ... Just something to get by for now ... what do I do to cover those spots up ...

1 sand them down to bare metal
2 spray with auto body primer

or what ... I just dont want them to turn into big problems before I can afford to get to a body shop

For those spots that are rusting, yes, you can sand them down and put a coat of spray can primer on them. It's a temporary fix, but it sounds like that's exactly what you want until you can get to the body shop and have them do body work and/or paint your car.

As far as painting it black... I wouldn't do it. You could, but if you want it done right then you're going to have to spend some money on it anyway, and what's the point in doing that if you're just going to have it repainted later on? Just get the spots that are rusting and/or in danger of rusting with some spray primer so they don't get any worse, and leave it at that.

you can go to speed and style and get the 17' tenzo rs-5's with tires for 950 shipped. The tires are hancock though. you got a good deal though. that price sounds about right.

Just patch up the spots that are rusting for now. I wouldn't primer the whole car untill it's time for paint.

Never ever ever ever primer your whole car. It is a waste of time and money. Only times you should use primer are when you go to bare metal and when you wanna fill some sand scratches. Primering a body panel that isnt bare metal is just asking for you to screw up your chanced or proper paint adhesion. About your little rust sopts just dab some touch up paint on the bare metal to get you buy. Just take a green scotch brite pad and get the rust off then dab some paint on it, and always use the mentioned wax and grease remover before anything. Laters

oh yeah, one more thing....those can primers are not compatible with todays paints that the bodyshop usually use. thats why if you have to use it, use only a small spot....so that the bodyshop can remove this in no time for repairs.

i'm sure you got all the tips you need.
goodluck.
