First off, how can i tell if my headgasket is blown? My coolant is bubbling at idle, i also seem to lose a little amount every week. Other then that, car runs fine.

If i do change the head gasket, i know i need new bolts, how many heaed bolts does the H22a have? How much is a set of ARP head studs?

 

Signs of a bad headgasket:
Oil in coolant
Coolant mixing in oil
Loss of coolant
Loss of power
White tipped spark plugs
bubbles in coolant when at idle (observe this when radiator cap is off)

It is not recommended you use your head bolts more then once, so go for some arp's. i paid about 160 for mine, but they were prototypes. call up arp and ask for al nichols. i believe the h22 has 10 head bolts
