Default ACT or Clutchmasters???????

Ok guys i hate polls so im NOT gonna make this one. Just wanna get some good info. I just broke my clutch in my H22 in my civic last night. I have a clutch masters 8lb flywheel, i had a centerforce dual friction clutch which is the one that broke. (spring flew out) yah.
Anyways ill get to the point. Im pulling the tranny tomorrow and ordering a clutch on monday. So what are you guys running?? I want an ACT or a clutchmasters stage 3. If you have these clutchs let me know how you like them and how they hold up. Also if you have the ACT let me know which one you have. (as far as the model) Soung good?????

I had a CM 4 puck clutch (sorry... not familiar with the different stages) and it did not work well with holding the power my car was putting out (only Naturally Aspirated too). It would hesitate in between shifts when I was racing. My friend swapped out the disc for a ACT one and it works like a charm. A little stiffer on the pedal, but I've had worse (Valley Clutch dual diaphragm).

Everyone I know who's had ACT had nothing but positive words.

ACT Stage III
No such clutch.

ACT does NOT offer clutches in "stages" like CrapMasters does.

They offer different clutch discs and pressure plates from which you select your own set-up.

My ACT in the B16A2 hatch has taken 2 years of hard beatings and still grabs hard as hell. It's the Xtreme P.P with the "hybrid lined" street disc.

In my B18C5 hatch I run the ClutchNet clutch - 6 puck sprung hub with double diaphram p.p. This clutch is unbreakable, but it eats into flywheels over time and isn't as smooth as the ACT full face disc. ClutchNet does offer some really nice stuff that other companies don't offer, but overall ACT would be my choice.

Really? I did not know that. When I bought the car it had the clutch, and the guy told me it was a stage 3. I know it's not factory cause of the grip, but I have yet to see it out of the car. Thanks for letting me know though, so I wont post about it and look like a dumbass anymore.

CM stage 3 is nice. Dont go above stage 3. Stay clear from ceramic (ie 6 puck act) clutches if you wanna keep your CM flywheel in good condition.
