No..... I would recommend waiting about 1-2 months. If you want you can use a polish, but I wouldn't use wax. Your paint hasn't had time to cure yet. I would be sure to wait longer to be on the safe side. I waited almost 90 days before I waxed my car. I think you should wait at least 1 month. If you want, you can use a polish, but MAKE SURE it is a pure polish.

so basically that entire time your waiting your scratching your clear coat everytime you wash your car? I would pick protecting the clear coat over anything else...
for the first month or so you should not wax your car. your paint needs to breath and cure correctly. if not, your clearcoat will look hazy and this is because your wax cured in with your paint. the paint underneath the clear coat is not fully dried. when your car is painted it is usually put into a big oven, this pretty much dries and seals the clear coat so you can take it home....this does not usually fully dry the base coat underneath it. your clear coat will not get fuxd up if you dont wax your car for a month or so dont worry about that. the base coat underneath is what you should worry about. you will NOT get any oxidation in only a month, that takes years of NOT waxing your car.....HTH
PS...about washing your car>>>all clearcoats will scratch even if you have waxed your car, it is all in the washing. you need to be careful when ALWAYS washing your car. keep the sponge soapy(which means a lot of suds) and you will be fine!

you do NOT wax your new painted car!!! doing so will cause a serious problem, your paint wont cure and can blister as well as other deffects. the waiting period is 1-2 months. but 2 months to be safe.
you can however, use a glaze compound that allows the paint to breath. the only downside to glaze is that it washes off with every car wash and rain.

I agree completely, if it was taken to shop to be painted just ask there. This is a normal process of waiting, which is around 30-60 days, I suggest waiting cause if you don't and end up taking it back they are going to throw it back in your face after you make it aware that you waxed the car after a week or so.

most bodyshops have told me about 90 days. You shouldn't need to use a polish since it was just painted (shouldn't be any swirls or scratches yet). But I would never ever use a polish anyway if I wasn't going to wax it immediately afterwards.

if it's oem bake paint **** then is safe to wax the next day
if it's aftermarket/repair paint you gonna wait at least 3 months
trust me..my fd just been into accident and have his car half painted.
the bodyshop polished it for him after the paint.
