Default VAFC settings

Hey, just wanted to know about the VAFC settings. Anyone with a 97 GSR with h/i/e, just wanted to know some of your settings, like v-tec kick in, and other stuff, not to sure what all this stuff means, and the shops around me don't seem to know either.

Thanks,

Thats one of my problems, I can't find a shop with a dyno that someone knows about how to set the VAFC, I managed to get it installed and virified that it worked but other than that no one can really help me around my area.

dont **** with the sttgins until it goes on the dyno , trust me , you will mess something up .
I had mine all tuned and then sold my header and test pipe and put the timing back to sotck . . .wouldnt think that would change the a/f too much right??? WRONG> i fried a set of plugs real quick and thank god that was the only thing . since then i think one of my fuel injectors has gone bad too , dont make that mistake.

Then why did you buy it in the first place? The vafc is meant as a tuning tool to find the best settings for your particular setup. It can only do so on a dyno w/ a wideband o2 sensor. The dyno helps you find the optimal vtec engagement. The wideband o2 helps you lean or enrichen your fuel delivery across the rpm range.

Too often you see people saying, "I lowered my vtec engagement to 4000 rpms and my car pulls much better". = butt dyno tuning gurus. How do you know its "better". To get the most out of this part you'll need to have a dyno tuning session. Even copying the settings of someone you has your exact same mods and setup will not work, every engine breathes differently.

If you don't tune the VAFC it was money lost for performance. You will have the bling factor though

Goto the Dyno, or you'll regret it.
